HOPI Czech Republic is stronger again
I will begin the evaluation of our past 12 months with an overview of important customer projects.
Cooperation with Makro takes on a new dimension
One of the main tasks from the previous period was to manage the transfer of our customer Makro to its own distribution center in Kozomín. This significant change was completed without any impact on HOPI‘s service and one of the outcomes of the entire transfer was the agreement on a new service contract for non-food goods. We now provide central storage and distribution to individual Makro stores from DC Jažlovice and DC Prostějov. In terms of storage capacity, this is a total of 10,000 pallets, while within DC Jažlovice we opened a new warehouse, H5, with a capacity of 5,000 pallets. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire team who ensured the preparation of warehouse space and the smooth transfer of goods from hall H2.
For Makro, we will now provide complete distribution of goods to selected stores. After some initial issues, the situation has been resolved and the HOPI Transport team now actively participates in important organizational and technical improvements.
As a part of our long-term relationship with our partner Makro, we are entering a new phase and taking advantage of all the synergies that our cooperation brings.
Billa found its home in the H2 warehouse
We have begun a new project with our customer, Billa, in the available space of the H2 dry warehouse. In total, we store 1,800 pallets here, mainly beverages with a high volume of handling (up to 11,000 cartons per day). We initiated this project without any problems and now we are negotiating with our partner Billa about extending the stored assortment to DC Prostějov.
UGO and the whole Kofola group are new to hall H1
After completing the cross-dock activities for the customer Makro in hall H1, we concluded a very important cooperation agreement with UGO, which is part of the Kofola Group. Modern premises for production of fresh salads and drinks were built in the free hall under the guidance of the HOPI Technical Department. This allows UGO to expand and increase production capacity in the future. This means that we have a very dynamically developing partner with great potential in our DC Jažlovice area. In addition to providing space for UGO, HOPI also provides end-of-line logistics, including packaging and palletizing. In one section of the central warehouse H1 we have started a warehouse project for the company Kofola, where the stock of beverages is around 2,700 pallets. We are pleased that we are able to meet the specified service KPIs.
